I’m Steve Sexton. For 25 years I’ve taught guitar in a way that keeps students coming back to the instrument — not fighting you about it. A full hour, every week, at your home or online. $300 a month.
Why parents call me
Most families who find me have already tried the store or the after-school program. Thirty minutes, a rotating teacher, a song they don’t care about. The guitar ends up under the bed.
I teach so practice doesn’t feel like a chore you have to police. We play music they actually want to hear. They notice themselves getting better. The instrument stays in their hands during the week — that’s the whole job.
That’s why parents pick me over the music store. Not because I’m louder about “method.” Because their kid still wants to play in month four.
Adults 40 and up: you’re in good company. Same idea, same hour. We play what you want to play, at a pace that fits a real week.
What you get
School and store lessons often run 20–30 minutes. That’s barely enough to tune up. You get sixty minutes with me — time enough to actually play — for $300 a month. That’s the offer. No packages to decode.

One 60-minute lesson each week
Book a lesson — I’ll call youA real hour. We warm up, we work, we play something that sounds like music before I walk out the door.
In-person at the student’s home, or a solid online lesson if that fits better. Same teacher. Same hour.
No free trial, no “see if it’s a fit” hour. You send the form, I call within 24 hours, we put the first lesson on the calendar.
Please give at least 24 hours’ advance notice to reschedule a makeup lesson. Because that dedicated hour is reserved just for you, cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged in full.
Where I teach
If you’re in Lowell, MA, Nashua, NH, or the surrounding area, I come to your home. Driveway, living room, kitchen table — wherever the guitar lives.
Farther out, traveling, or just easier on a screen? Online lessons work from anywhere. I teach those the same way I teach in person: one student, one hour, music they care about.
About Steve
I’ve been teaching guitar for 25 years. Kids, teens, and adults who decided it was finally their turn. I know the moment the new-guitar shine wears off. That’s when most students quit. It’s also when good teaching starts to matter.
I’m not here to turn every student into a stage kid. I’m here to make them a player — someone who can sit down, make a sound they like, and want to do it again tomorrow.
If that sounds like what you want for your kid — or for yourself — send the form. I’ll call you.

Short form. I read it, I call, we schedule the first paid lesson. Prefer the phone? That’s fine too.
